Lyra's friendship with Upton

Lyra's friendship with Upton started two days after she was born. Upton and his parents visited her at Children's Memorial Hermann hospital, in Houston's Medical Center.

Upton: "How come you don't have a name yet?  Is that even allowed?"

Two happy families.

Since then, from time to time, our two families would meet together for brunch, dinner and play time. We found Upton and Lyra had a lot of things in common: Upton's daddy and mommy both came from Califonia to Houston for work, just like Lyra's daddy; Upton is half Chinese and half American, just like Lyra; and of course they both were born in Houston  They are both little Texans! 

   Upton: "Hey Daddy, who is cuter?"  



Upton (seeing the attention Lyra is getting from his Dad): "Forget about you, Dad -- I'm with Mommy now!"



In May, Upton moved to LA with his parents. Now Lyra is planning a trip to visit her friend.
